Yo, my name is James Lee.
The game plan is to attend the United States Naval Academy and, if all goes well, I will become a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps by 2016. Lots of people ask me why I want to be Marine. I want to be a Marine because I feel this is the best way for me to glorify God.
It sounds strange, but the Marines do a lot of peacekeeping and humanitarian aid. While they do a lot of killing, they also do a lot of peace-keeping and humanitarian aid. That's the aspect of the Marines I am interested in. I want to show the world God's love by going to various destinations around the world and helping the people there. Whether it be defending schools and hospitals from insurgents, helping out in disaster relief, or just being a shield for those who cannot defend themselves, I want to be there to help.
I know that this is the station in life God has called me to. Many of you will disagree with my reasons for joining and hate on me. But as Evelyn Beatrice Hall once said about Voltaire's ideals, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." That is what the Marines are here for.
